Advanced 3-player-variant

As from the 2nd batch you can find this variant in the rulebook.

Shuffle 10 instead of 4 association cards at the start of the game. Every player gets 3 of them. Put the remaining card unseen back into the box.

Now every player looks at his 3 cards. From one association you will have 2 or 3 cards. That's your association for the whole game.
After that, all play-ers put their 3 cards face-down in front of them in a row and the game starts as usual. If someone wins a struggle he may look at the losers occupation and one of the 3 association cards (with the "Monocle" you may also look only at one card).

Notice: Neither you nor other players are allowed to change the order of the association card row in front of a player. The 3 cards must be at their original position during the whole game!

Campaign: Coach-rides and intrigues

You can find this variant only in the rulebook of the 1st batch.

The players agree on the number of rounds that should be played. Winning-points are given to the members of the winning association after each round. The player who proclaimed the victory receives:

  • 3 points, if he owns at least one of the objects needed to win,
  • respectively 5 points if he even owns at least three of them.
  • the player that wins a round by himself with the help of the “The Coat of Armor of the Loge” object receives 4 points.

Each of the other players of the winning association receive:

  • 2 points if they own at least one of the objects needed to win,
  • respectively, 1 point if they do belong to the winning association but do not own any of the necessary objects.

If an association falsely proclaimed the victory, all of the players of the opposing association receive 2 points each.

If the fortune-telling variation is also being played, the following winning points are received after a player has told a fortune:

  • 3 points for the player who was able to name the objects of his opponents while “proclaiming the victory”.
  • 1 point for all of the players who belong to the winning association of the fortune teller.
  • 2 points for all of the players who now belong to the winning association if the “fortune teller” was wrong.

The winner is the player that has the most winning-points after the last round. In a stand-off, the player who had the most points in the last game wins. In case there is still a stand-off, everybody gets into the coach for a last ride because there has never been a coach ride without a true winner...
